Covid in Scotland – what do we face and what can we do?

22 January 2022 @ 14:00 - 15:30 GMT

We are fast approaching 2 years into the pandemic in Scotland. Virologist Dr Jeremy Rossman joins Zero Covid Scotland to plan for the future.
With the new Omicron variant we need to understand the science, and have the politics to get things right.
Dr Rossman will focus on what the current situation is. What the concept of ‘living with the virus’ means and what that would result in if we don’t adjust strategies (excess deaths, strain on hospital services, long-term illness, including in children, strain on school services, significant economic disruption, and more variants needing adjustment of vaccines which won’t necessarily keep pace with the variants).
Mike Downham of Zero Covid Scotland will speak about what the campaign has done in the past and provide some suggestions about what we might do going forward.
Join Dr Rossman and Mike Downham to discuss what you can do to help.
